Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a noninvasive imaging test that uses light waves to take pictures of your retina. The retina is the thin tissue lining the back of your eye, and is responsible for vision. With OCT, each of the retinal layers can be seen at a resolution thousands of times better than with the human eye. This assists with diagnosis and treatment for many diseases, including glaucoma, diabetes, and macular degeneration.

Visual Field Analyzer. A VF machine allows doctors to check your peripheral vision. This is especially important in the diagnosis and management of diseases such as glaucoma, stroke, brain tumors, and other neurological problems. Repeating a VF multiple times is important for detecting if your peripheral vision is worsening. The specially designed cameras used in fundus photography take high contrast images of the inside surface of your eye. This allows your doctor to evaluate important structures, such as your retina and optic disc, for signs of disease. Using Care1, these photos can be reconstructed into a 3-dimensional image (much like when you watch a 3D movie). A doctor at a different location, can then put on special glasses and see your eye in 3D, and make diagnosis and treatment plans.
